Throughout his two-decade design career Nick Cienski has been at the forefront of technical performance garment creation, construction, and fabrication. Most recently, Nick was responsible for designing the Virgin Galactic suits worn by Sir Richard Branson and his team on their inaugural flight into space.
“My design work has required that I approach problems differently—because creating status quo products is unnecessary; they do nothing for the brand nor the consumer.”
Starting with the end in mind; design's purpose is to deliver products that delight consumers. From here, Nick illuminates how to break down walls in current design thinking; empowering his audience to challenge product assumptions, push their concepts further, often to failure—where learning happens. Nick has a proven record of inspiring creatives to search out unique solutions to challenging design problems and produce real life experiences from each of these aspects.
"For creatives to flourish in our ever-changing world, individuals and teams have to have the ability to pivot, think differently about solving problems, predict the future by studying the current landscape, and not overthinking every decision.”
